This 18ha (more or less) vineyard is situated on the world renown Gimblett Gravels appellation. The property sits on a plateaux above the Ngaruroro River (completely untouched by the recent cyclone event) and is neighbouring some of the most recognised Hawke's Bay winery brands.
A versatile mix of six grape varietals are grown here which include; Merlot, Syrah, Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Chardonnay. The majority of vines were planted between 1995 and 1997, with a further 2.59ha of Syrah planted in 2000 and 2.18ha of Chardonnay added in 2002.
Infrastructure includes a two bay implement shed with concrete floor and lockable sliding doors, a tearoom with kitchenette and bathroom facilities, a lockable spray shed and filling/wash-down station, a pump shed and irrigation control centre, plus another storage shed for nets etc. The vineyard has good access and is fully fenced. Located at the end of a no-exit road, the property offers privacy, scale, security and access to the Ngaruroro river whilst also being well located to the main arterial routes.
