Davies Homes' boss Daniel Davies hates negativity. So much so, he did something about it.

Helped by Bridleways Estate developer Matt Smith; with suppliers and subbies all working together in true Christmas spirit, 52 Hugo Shaw Drive is the result. Yours to own. A Christmas gift. Well, not a free gift; but potentially at a price that has the gift of tinsel and tantalising temptation. You can even be in by Christmas.

Back in June, when the project was launched, people's interest was sparked at this cool concept. Determined to shun the negativity of recent times, Daniel dreamt up the ‘Subbie Spec' project; contacted Matt and presented his idea for Bridleways Estate.

Taking others along for the ride, a lot of love went into this home. Forty partners in all; from heads of companies, builders to plumbers and everyone in between. All have contributed their costs as shareholders in a project that will reward them with a percentage of the sale. Davies Homes won't make any profit; only the subbies. The key here is expectation, and your input simply enhances that belief.

This just isn't a spec home. It's a home with all the trimmings. Three bedrooms, plus office or fourth bedroom if required, two designer bathrooms with underfloor heating, a bespoke kitchen/scullery and two spacious living areas. The family hub revolves around sun, outdoor flow and entertainment. The open-plan design doesn't sway from today's flow-on notion. The bar-stool island is a natural drawcard for casual chatter and with the outdoor season upon us, back-yard barbies are a big invitation.
