Life is a permanent seaside holiday, here in magical Monaco. Just beyond your front garden, the kingfishers and other birds hunt for fish at high tide in the Waimea Inlet, and small boats come and go.
The house started life as a simple bach and retains its special charm. But it has been extended and improved and made delightfully comfortable - and it boasts a separate sleepout, too, offering so many options, including extra income.
At the foot of the garden, a gate gives access to the shoreline. Take a dip at full tide or launch a kayak or small boat. Row over to Oyster Island for a picnic or cast a fishing line.
The house is cosy and warm and smartly presented; well insulated and almost completely double-glazed. A log burner makes for pleasant winter days and the sunroom is made for lazy afternoon reads and cups of tea.
In summer, the house and outdoors are a balmy tonic with a front deck for morning coffee and evening barbecues, and a front lawn to laze on.
The house has two sunny bedrooms, a living area composed of dining area, TV/lounge area, sunroom and a renewed, contemporary kitchen from where you can gaze out to the water. There are three toilets, including the sleepout.
The house has been re-plumbed, mainly re-wired, and several walls re-gibbed in the renovation seven years ago with new under-floor and some extra wall and roof insulation added.
The sleepout, also insulated is a wonderful bonus, separate from the house and in good condition.
It has a spacious bedroom, a lounge/dining area, a motel-style kitchenette, and bathroom.
Even on a cold winter's day, a visit here will have you dreaming of seaside living in Monaco's unique neighbourhood.
