About the Karaka Community
The attractive area known as Karaka extends west of the Southern Motorway at Papakura and Drury, to Kingseat Road. The area comprises a mix of new housing estates, rural/lifestyle holdings and a few large working farms. The lifestyle and farming area of Karaka really begins once you have crossed the bridge from Hingaia Road to Linwood Road. Here you find rolling green fields, many offering substantial quality homes. The Karaka Bloodstock Centre is situated next to the southern motorway at Papakura and is famous for its yearling sales.
