About the area
Majestic Northland contains some of the country’s oldest settlements, as well as an array of breathtaking natural scenery. From ancient kauri forests and huge sand dunes around the Hokianga region, through to the deep-sea fishing and sailing playground of the Bay of Islands - the area is cherished by international tourists who are in awe of its diverse beauty.
Kerikeri is home to New Zealand’s oldest building – the Stone Store, and has a strong and colourful history. Well respected for its horticultural success, Kerikeri also boasts a chocolate factory, boutique vineyards, scenic walks, art galleries, and many vibrant eateries.
