William Blake has over 40 years’ experience in the valuation profession, returning to Christchurch in 1987 after working in the public sector in Dunedin, Wellington and Auckland.

From the position of Managing District Valuer Auckland, he joined the highly respected practice of Simes Ltd in Christchurch.  Simes Limited became a licensed partner of Knight Frank in 2010 and in 2018 Knight Frank merged with Bayleys to create the Bayleys Christchurch valuation practice.

William is a Fellow of the Property Institute of New Zealand and Associate of the New Zealand Institute of Valuers.

He undertakes most of the larger valuation assignments in Canterbury on behalf of the company, and co-ordinates the Christchurch valuation team.

He has supervised research projects including the Company’s comprehensive research on the industrial market.

As a bank panel valuer he provides mortgage valuations for all the major banks.

He has been engaged to provide expert witness evidence for High Court proceedings in relation to complex earthquake related claims and also acted as an expert witness on behalf of the Christchurch City Council before the Independent Hearings Panel.
