Richard joined Bayleys after a 30+ year career in finance and banking, including over 20 years with Westpac as a business manager in Hawke's Bay. During this time Richard had the privilege of working closely with a wide range of businesses across the region.

As a business broker Richard gets great enjoyment working alongside clients to achieve their transaction objectives and views the sale of a business as a collaboration between owners and advisors. He understands the importance of working closely with the business owner, benefitting from their experience and knowledge to achieve their desired outcome.

Richard has a large network of relationships within the finance sector in Hawke's Bay that includes banking, accounting, business advisory and law. He judged the Hawke's Bay Chamber of Commerce business excellence awards for eight years and is passionate about recognising business success.

Outside of work Richard is involved with surf lifesaving, enjoys a round of golf, and his regular fitness class, as well as a great Hawke's Bay wine or craft beer.
