Mike offers rare expertise as a real estate agent. He was involved in the property industry for 15 years as a construction project manager and a qualified Licensed Building Practitioner (LBP), and is also a qualified Asbestos (ACM) assessor. This means that Mike can offer his clients unique insight into the nuts and bolts of the buildings they are looking to buy and sell and how the construction market influences the real estate market. Alongside Mike is his superstar PA Cianne. Cianne holds her real estate license and is highly regarded throughout the Bayleys organisation. Her meticulous attention to detail ensures no enquiry goes unanswered. As a team, they are highly effective.
Mike founded Auckland-based Anpure Group Ltd in 2013, a national supplier of construction sub-services and hire equipment. It was in this role he honed his marketing and business strategy skills, while leading 25 staff. During this time he carried out further study and earned an Executive MBA (Hons) at Massey University.
After completing his own small development project on Auckland’s North Shore and having owned investment properties, Mike is also very familiar with the process of buying and selling property from the other side of the table. He can offer his real estate clients high-level expertise in marketing strategy and business development to generate better than expected results.
Mike is at the gym or out for a run most mornings to ensure he starts the day with a clear head. He used to fight Mixed Martial Arts competitively and still enjoys training in this sport. He hails from a lifestyle block in Maungatapere, growing export-grade avocados, and more recently, commercial bananas, and syrah grapes.
Having a strong rural network means Mike is constantly in contact with local farmers, growers and subcontractors. His Auckland connections put him in touch with syndications and out-of-area investors looking to expand their portfolio into the North. He is renowned for his negotiation skills and thinking outside the box to get deals across the line.
