Mark McSkimming commenced his career as a Property Valuer in 1980
Mark has been acting as a Registered Valuer for over 35 years. Over 30 years of that time in Christchurch, working for several major real estate firms.
Mark has extensive experience in residential and suburban commercial and industrial valuation work. Mark has completed a significant volume of valuations of commercial accommodation properties. He acts for a number of residential investment portfolio owners, and has been appointed as a preferred valuer by the President of the Canterbury Law Society and BNZ Christchurch.
Mark has acted as an expert witness in the District, Family and Environment Courts as well as at Tenancy and Dispute Tribunals. He has also acted as an expert witness for the Commerce Commission in the Fletcher Homes Dispute.
Mark has worked with EQC for the last seven years following the Canterbury earthquakes with specialist assessments of land and retaining wall value loss, and values of land and property for increased flooding vulnerability.
