Community focused and altruistic by nature, Gavin’s 23 years front line police experience has given him problem solving and tactical approaches that serve him well in real estate. In 2008 he was awarded a QSM in the New Years Honours List for his services to the community, not only in policing but youth rugby. Now, having clocked up over a decade as a realtor, Gavin has proven ability to deliver better than expected results to his vendors.
A true team player, Gavin enjoys tackling problems head on and finding innovative solutions. He has the ability to relate to people from different backgrounds with a sense of humour and compassion. He has managed both domestic and international rugby teams over many years - team building, logistics and the management of people is one of his core strengths. He enjoys matching buyers to sellers, problem solving complex sales, selling homes at auctions and generally achieving the very best he can for his clients.
Trustworthy and reliable to a fault, Gavin’s clients enjoy honesty and clarity around every aspect of their property transaction. He is known for being well organised and a natural leader, genuinely concerned about the outcomes he achieves for people on their property journey.
Outside of work Gavin runs the Auckland Police Gold Club, has been a member of West End Tennis Club for 50 years and has strong ties to Takapuna Rugby Club and Northcote Rugby Club and later as Takapuna Rugby premiers manager for five years. He also enjoys golf, tennis, fitness and family time with his children and grandchildren.
Growing up in Westmere, where he later walked the beat as a police officer for 23 years, Gavin is an expert on Auckland’s inner city suburbs. He knows the people, places and culture that permeate the area causing him to be a fountain of knowledge for sellers and purchasers alike and the real estate agent of choice for many.
