Lifestyle and Residential Sales

Michael Guy joined the real estate industry seven years ago with a passion for property.

Since joining Bayleys his success selling residential and lifestyle properties has seen him awarded the title of Top 5% of Bayleys Salespersons 2017-2018. He is also the #1 salesperson for Bayleys in the North 2017-2018, #1 salesperson for Bayleys Orewa 2017-2018, and winner of the Top Auction Award 2017-2018 for Bayleys in the North.

Over the years he has owned numerous homes and renovated a number of these. He has recently moved to a lifestyle property where he is renovating a minor dwelling. This experience of buying, selling and renovating property gives him first-hand knowledge of the rewards property can bring as well as extensive insight into the industry.

Prior to joining real estate, Michael worked as a journalist and a writer. He wrote a number of books including Whiteout, a best-selling book about the true account of Air New Zealand's DC10 crash on Mt Erebus. He is also well-known as a restaurant critic, a passion he still continues in his spare time.

Michael is able to communicate clearly with his clients to ensure he discovers what they want. His writing skills means he can create compelling property advertisements that attract maximum interest in your home. Outside of real estate, Michael's passion is fishing the Kaipara from his family bach at Pahi.

Michael lives at Kaukapakapa with his wife, Anna, a teacher with Northern Health Schools. He and his wife have raised two daughters together and consider this to be their greatest achievement. If you want a friendly salesperson who is passionate about achieving, great at communicating and has personal experience in buying and selling property, contact Michael Guy.

It still has a community association that runs a beautiful large community hall that’s just about to have a basketball half court added to it offering get fit options Ponsonby would be jealous of, and yet your home would be right in the neighbourhood amongst the leafy streets. We also have the hidden equivalent of a RSA with the local Boat Club offering a bar and old fashioned kiwi pub meals. Join up and enjoy inexpensive food cooked for you as you knock back your favourite bevvies.

The birds. Tui, Keruru, Kotare, Fantail, Qual, even pheasant running across the roads, they’re everywhere. There is so much green, down to the river and on the other side, it’s gorgeous. In fact it’s so great that the national walkway, Te Araroa passes through Stillwater https://www.teararoa.org.nz. You could offer BnB if that was your style and the river is just a delight. Totally tidal, it is high and low every day and it’s amazing to watch the boats running high on the tide one moment and lying on the bottom nec minit.
