Prior to real estate Melanie had a very successful career in the insurance industry, working her way up from the call centre to executive team of what was New Zealand's largest fire and general insurance company. She has extensive experience in working with a wide range of people in both professional and casual environments. This has made Melanie a natural problem solver with a true commitment to excellence.

Her experience in the insurance industry has also equipped Melanie with a detailed knowledge and understanding of the Christchurch landscape. She comprehends the natural hazards, how they impact homes and insurability and the intricacies of EQC and insurance processes - all of which is incredibly useful in the Christchurch post-quake real estate market. Her dedication to continual learning helps her on a day-to-day basis to keep abreast of changes in the property industry and ensure her team is equipped with the latest and most up to date information.

A proud Cantabrian having grown up in Christchurch, outside of work Melanie enjoys spending time with family, including her two young boys. She is a serial renovator who has bought and sold far too many homes and is now looking forward to staying put for a while  - once the current renovation is finished that is!
